A. Formulation and updating of national policies and regulations on information and technology and providing assistance in practical activities related to information and communication technology of various ministries / departments and agencies;

B. Implementation with recommendations of the National Task Force on Information and Communication Technology;

C. For conducting research, development and dissemination in various sectors of information and communication technology, concerned information / institutions, private information and communication technology organizations / associations to conduct necessary information technology surveys, research and development activities and to provide overall support and grants for service delivery and financing. Take initiative;

D. Increase integrity in various countries related to information and communication technology and initiatives of international and global organizations and implementation of agreements and cooperation activities in related fields;

E. Assist and coordinate various ministries / agencies in adopting integrated action plans for e-governance, e-infrastructure, e-health, e-commerce and other service activities;

F. Formulation of necessary policies and guidelines to make information and communication technology services accessible to the people through commercialization, creation of skilled manpower, increase of public awareness and monitoring of implementation;

G. Software Technology Park, Hi-Tech Park and I, C. T. To attract domestic and foreign investment in the ICT sector through development of all infrastructures including installation of incubators, to make local companies competitive and to increase employment and exports;

H. Ensuring and enforcing the legal validity and security of electronic records related to information and communication technology, the identity of the recipient and sender, and the preservation of all data stores.
